I started DivaGlam Cosmetics in June of 2004. I wanted to give women an opportunity to look and feel their best. I had tried several direct sales companies and had done very well in each company, but my focus was on the women and not on the bottom line of how much I made for the company. I have always believed that if you do what God gave you talent to do the money is a by product of doing what he gifted you to do.

I went to cosmetology school and when I finished I realized that I enjoyed makeup and skincare more than I did hair so I got jobs representing several makeup companies in major department stores such as Nordstroms, Macys etc. What that experience taught me was how to mix and match colors for my clients, since at that time makeup for the color of women was not popular and no one really had the right colors for us.

I decided to do some research and found a company that had the colors and skincare products I liked and also a company that would work with me to develop colors and products for the skin that I wanted to develop.

From this was born DivaGlam Cosmetics, currently we are in several malls and offer our products on line at the website.

This year, I have decided to take DivaGlam in a new direction, by opening it up to women who want to learn how to earn money with our company and how to enhance their own beauty. So from that I have developed a training program to train Diva Artists who will be able to go out in their own homes and community and make money on their own.

Born to a teen mom and labeled as a project kid. Tiffany Braxton has made some big strides, but if you ask me I am still trying to make it. Graduating high school and starting college at 16-years-old I didn't know what I wanted to do when I grew up. After attending college part-time for four years I decided to leave school and work for a Fortune 500 telecommunications company where I have been employed for the past eleven years. Making that decision put me in a position to return to school after experiencing corporate America with a better focus and goals. I'm currently studying for my B.S. in Business Management and anticipate graduating in spring 2008.

Approximately five years ago I started an event coordinating business. Unable to afford the cost to rent venues I along with two friends and a DJ began having parties at my house that accommodated up to fifty people at times for barbecues, birthday parties, New Year's Eve parties, and what has now become an annual event for the past five years our Super Sunday Superbowl. My guests would always leave saying that it was the best house party they'd ever been to. Another thing they would say is you need to get paid for what you do, but to me it was more important being the best host than the amount of money I could make. So here Party Sophisticate's was born. The focus of Party Sophisticate's is planning the most elegant and sophisticated events on realistic budgets. Coordinating my own wedding consisted of silk bouquets, freelancers, and an eighty-seven dollar wedding dress (retailed at $600 in a well-known bridal store) custom made and shipped from China. I am currently working on a book project "A Platinum Wedding. On My Shoestring Budget?" My motto is "Give me a budget I'll make it happen."

When I am not doing schoolwork, coordinating events, or spending quality time with my husband and three stepchildren you can find me on the runway as Plus Model Braxton. After being cast for a reality show that never materialized I was urged to consider plus modeling. Once told I would never be a model because I was too big, at a size 12, I am living a dream that I've had ever since I could remember. Now a size 18+ I have been featured in multiple online publications, I am a signature model for a denim company and an online magazine http://www.belle-noir.com/, placed as a semi-finalist in multiple model search competitions, will compete for "Miss NYC Plus Model in 2008" www.missnycplus.com , and am now officially a cover girl www.morebeautifulwoman.com. I use this platform for self-motivation as well as to promote positive self-esteem to young and older woman alike.

Many people will measure success by the material things they've accrued, but I think I'm successful every morning God allows me to wake up and be thankful for the things I accomplished yesterday. For I am nothing without God.

I was born in South America, where I spent all of my grade and high school years. I moved to NY to pursue a college education, which I did start and completed after I moved to FL. Since I was a little girl, I recalled my mother always mixing up stuff for my hair and skin; but that was normal to me. I never thought it was anything extraordinary. During my years in high school I enjoyed doing hair and for many years I would do my friends and family's hair, but never did pursue it as a career. About two years ago after returning to South America, I brought back some oils that my mom used and I found myself mixing products for my hair and skin, just like my mom did.

For the few years I've been experiencing some issues with my scalp and my skin and after trying every lotion, shampoo & conditioner out there, I saw no improvement. After starting a blog and forum, I realized that there are many other women out there with similar and other issues. After much research, I realized that the products on store shelves are filled with toxicants and carcinogenic ingredients and this is possibly what's causing all of these issues. I was inspired to develop a natural and organic line to give other women out there a much better solution. My plan is to launch that line during the fall of 2009. She currently serves on the Lackawanna Co. Council of Economic Development; the Lackawanna/Luzerne Transportation Planning Committee, the African American Network of Monroe Co., as secretary of the East Scranton Business Association. She is a board member of United Neighborhood Centers of Northeast PA and the Greater Scranton Chamber of Commerce. Most recently, Diane has been accepted into the Leadership Lackawanna Class of 2007-2008.

Diane believes that success means continually working towards a worthy goal that benefits all persons involved and brings harm to no one who may be affected. As a Black woman, we must never let our failures defeat us! We must keep our goals in the forefront of our minds day and night and use every failure as a stepping stone (of experience) to climb up to the summit of our dreams....one word sum--Perseverance!

Diane role model: the Ant --If a stone is in the way of an ants goal to get where it's going, she will try to go around it or climb over it and if that does not work she will go and find other ants to help her move the stone--nothing will stop her from getting where she intends to be!
